Textured Chic photo album

Picture the scene: it's half term and 2 days before the Queens Platinum Jubilee, you've booked annual leave from work.  What do you do with this special time, when everyone is prepping their jubilee trifles?

Answer: You make your first hard back photo album of course, sat at the table all day in PJ's not noticing time moving on.  It's the only time I've been grateful for bad weather, my teens were happy to chill on the sofa and I was free to craft all day.

I played with a quick and simple album idea while we were driving to Plymouth last month and I shared that experience with you all.  I didn't finish that album as I wasn't sure I'd be happy with the finished result.  It would require manipulation of my photo's or cutting some down to fit, that would require lots of decisions and far too much planning.  My good friend Liz Huckle has been making beautiful albums recently and I was inspired to try it myself.

I watched a few YouTube Videos from Paul Ford who is happy to share his album tutorials for all to use.  This is the link to the one I used. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KKqz5_-8rv4

I used a light colour construction tape to bind my edges as I thought design wise it would work better for my album, I'm not sure I researched which tape enough as the one I have got doesn't want to stick to the chipboard.

My main aim was to find a way to use the Texture Chic Memories and More cards as I think the colours and sentiments in the pack are beautiful.  I hope you enjoy seeing what I've made and don't forget to subscribe to my YouTube Channel and book yourself on a class to get involved in papercraft yourself.
