Making a 12"X6" envelope for large scale cards
I've had the pleasure to make several large scale cards for my colleague in my day job. It's a pleasure because it's always to congratulate someone or to celebrate milestones with them.
This week I'm making a card for someone who is moving to a new and exciting role, but luckily we'll still be working with them all be it in a slightly different capacity. When I made the first 2 cards with these dimensions I forgot about envelope and used a standard A4 document envelope meaning the card flopped around in it and it didn't look the best. This time I realised in a time and have adjusted the A4 document envelope to fit the card more snuggly and also added decoration to the envelope to prevent it looking so stark.
Please see details of the materials used for the card and measurements for the card stock used, there is also a video tutorial of adapting the envelope to the correct card size.
This card also uses one of my favourite new dies, which gives the appearance of a page being ripped from a note book. As usual I looked up the symbolism of cactus and they bring good luck, so ideal when wishing someone luck in their new role.
Hope you enjoy my video, don't' forget to subscribe to my YouTube channel to see more videos and book yourself on one of my monthly classes to join in the fun yourself.
